About
Owen Luebbers grew up in a quiet neighborhood in suburban Pennsylvania. He was homeschooled by his Mom until high school, allowing him to travel the world as a national and international Irish Dance Champion. Being around different cultures growing up, his musical style has been influenced by artists from all across the globe. Growing up taking piano lessons, singing in choir and playing the drums in concert band, it wasn’t until high-school that he started writing his own songs. He rapidly developed a love and passion for producing and decided that he wanted to study music in some capacity in college. Media Studies and Production seemed like an appropriate choice and so began Owen’s journey through college. While recovering from his fifth concussion, Owen began teaching himself how to play the guitar. The song, “Next To Me,” from this debut EP was voted “Best Musical Production,” while studying at Temple University. “5/5,” was released the day he graduated college. As an independent study during the height of the pandemic, he wrote, recorded and produced the project from a messy corner of his childhood bedroom. He spent the next part of the year traveling, writing, and producing in hotels, coffee shops, theaters, and airports. On election day in 2020, he wrote, “Tell Me,” an apocalyptic confessional love song inspired by Phoebe Bridegers and Bon Iver. With a Tik Tok following of over 250k and an artistic vision, Owen Luebbers is an artist on the rise. Owen’s upcoming release, “Blue Jean Baby,” is a bouncy pop song that takes listeners on a journey to a neon fueled night downtown.
